Regardless of the particular repertoire chosen, I work to ensure that my lessons...

- ...strengthen sight reading skills and aural skills.

- ...provide avenues for creative expression and exploration of the keyboard.
What's your typical process for working with a new student?
After discussion by email and/or phone, I'll have an introductory complimentary session with the student. This may occur at my home studio, or the student's home. I'll assess their current level of piano knowledge, find out what they're most interested in learning, and discuss a path of musical education goals with them (and their parents!) If we agree we're a good fit for one another, we'll work out a weekly or twice-weekly schedule for lessons.
